I9 8-SCL and EPCL The year 1958 will go into the Bishop Kenrick record books as one of the greatest basketball seasons ever enjoyed by the Golden Knights of the hardwood. The varsity squad exhibited the deadly shooting and hustling teamwork so typical of previous years. Their compensation was two league cham- pionships. The Knights captured the Eastern Pennsylvania Catholic League with an unblemished record of six wins. The Suburban Catholic League title came to us because of a 12 and 1 log, which includes a first half championship win over Bethlehem Catholic. Mr. Brown, the coach, gave our boys the confidence and the court technique needed to Hnish with a registered 21 wins and 4 defeats. us. ' Tut Matozza shows perfect form for a jump shot against a Salesianum foe. His defensive finesse and his ability to hustle all the time, made him the key man in our fast break. Mr. Kehoe was the coach of this fabulous team, and he used his boys with great skill. One of the most thrilling games of the year occurred when St. Pius X Jayvees visited Kcnrick.
