9' sll. A3 Harry Natalini, one of our star juniors, goes around end for a first down against Bishop Eustace. In this game we rolled up our highest score of the year, 38 points. for fast action and thrills- the Golden Knights For the second consecutive year, the trophy emblematic of the Eastern Pennsylvania Catholic League Football Cham- pionship, rests in the halls of Kenrick. Last year we shared the coveted award with St. Matthew, our arch rival. This year upon meeting St. Matthew, we became the first Ken- rick squad to crack the Mirrors since our school's concep- tion by a 19-6 count. Another big game this year was the Allentown Central tilt. This was the game that counted for the championship. The team, followed by a large con- tingent of Kenrick rooters, invaded Allentown on a cold Fri- day night in November, and returned with a 13-6 champion- ship victory. The students of Kenrick and the team are thankful to the Coach, Mr. Hoey, and his assistants for such a successful season. Our line coach, Joe Shields, gives our Knights of the gridiron a last minute talk before they go into battle. For the unceasing efforts of our coaches and boys, a championship was their reward. Captain Tut Matozza slowly fades from view, or so it seems to our P.S.D. opponents. Scenes like this became common during Tut's stay at Kenrick.
