l RONNIE HARWARD Hal fback Ronnie was one of Central's surprise packages this year. Not expected to do much, he de- veloped into a fine offensive player, as well as being a mainstay on defense. Although small in size, Ronnie more than made up for it in spirit. LARRY QUINN Quarterback Larry was another one of our surprises He came through when we needed htm Starting from the bottom Larry worked hlmself 1nto a first string posxtlon Larry got hurt toward the end of the season but he certainly played good ball JACK FOCARTY End Being known as Fme Child Jack was one of our fine ends Even though handicapped with several IIIJUYIES he caught many passes and scored one touchdown All in all Jack played great ball

BILLY BETROS Halfback Billy played superb ball ln his senior year He always seemed to get that first down for you when you needed It Several times he was mentioned for back of the week thus proving that he was one of the CIIYS better backs TOMMY CRABTREE End Guard Playing mostly on the defense Tommy alter nated at end and guard He soon became one of the most dependable players on the team He was always making the tackle that counted Along with this Tommy was a good team leader BUDDY PACE Hal fback Buddy, who was injured at the beginning of the season, came hack and won a first string defensive position. Not until the last game of the season was Buddy given his chance to carry the ball, and he came through in mag- nificent fashion. Buddy gave a splendid ex- ample of how to get back up when you're down.

Fred played not only his end position. but was called upon to play a defensive half- back position, and he did a splendid job of it.
