0 3 s 3 5 Just as the crystal prism receives the rays of the sun, bending them into their component colors, and lightly paints the resultant rainbow glory on near-by surfaces, so the PRISM gathers the sunbeams of a happy year at Hogan and pictures their lovely details on its pages. Just as great spiritual leaders receive the rays of Christ, the Light of the World, and reflect them in their achievements, so the 1950 Prism gathers rays of in- spiration from the accomplishments of two greatbishops and sends them forth to inspire every Hogan student to a future of success and spiritual attainment. As all real wisdom and exemplary living speak si- lently to the soul, so the memory of Bishop Hogan and the zeal of Bishop O'I-Iara extend their silent rays into the hearts of all I-Ioganites to lead each to the radiant Son of God. 'Q AE Jliiil OPQLUOI' Since Bishop Hogan High School is a tangible proof that ideals become realities, a group of seniors interview Bishop O'Hara for inspiration in formulating Hogan's plans for observing the Jubilee Year. Seldom does a class have the privilege of being graduated in such a significant year. For l95O, which marks the tenth anniversary of Hogan High School, has been dignified by our Holy Father, Pope Pius XII, as the twenty-fifth Holy Year of the Christian era. We students at Hogan, although unable to journey to Rome for the solemn ceremonies, enter into the spirit of the .Tubilee by concentrating on our personal sanctif- ication in our everyday life at Hogan. .22
