33 Act II, Scene I And Now the Future . . Graduates . . . This is the time to gather the fruits of our labors, And, happily, To rerninisce those treasured moments Of study . . Of fun . . . Of triumphs . . Even of failures. With a little sadness in our remembrances, We recall our years at Heelan- As freshmen . . . learning to love the traditions of our school. As sophomores . . . developing the true Heelan spirit. As jtmiors . . . anticipating our senior year. And finally as seniors . . . realizing more fully the ideal for which Heelan stands. We have learned our responsibilities as Catholic young people Not without sincere appreciation, Do we leave her halls . . . The hallowed halls of our Alma Mater. 22

Yum, Yum! Anyone care for a tavern? Mrs. Anna Goettertz stops to admire the re- sults of ardent polishing of the new furniture in the Youth Center. Mrs. Goettertz can he seen busily working to keep the building look- ing neat and attractive. Mrs. Mary Ann Higgens can still smile after a busy day of endless demands from all di- rections. She is Father Bauer's personal sec- retary and is in charge of the main office. She also heads the student office staff. Mr. Herbert Ringler pauses for a moment from his endless task of caring for Heelan needs. He keeps the building clean, mops and waxes floors, and keeps everyone happy. Mrs. Virginia Verzani totals the re- ceipts after the daily student lunch periods. fCare to donate some to a worthy cause? Ours, that islj 2 I l
