Monsignor Kevane takes pleasure in turning a shovelful of dirt. Watching are Father Nash, Father Bowen, Bishop Mueller, Father Riesberg, Conrad Heider, Mary Ann Goet- tertz, Mrs. Sheila Carlson, Father Scherrer, Miss Mary Treglia and Father Huewe. On September 15, 1958, classes were dismissed early so Heelan students could join in the ground- breaking ceremonies for the construction of the Heelan Annex. Progress in Building the Heelan Annex Thousands of tons of dirt were removed in the process of excavating deep enough to provide for the future swimming pool. All seem interested in the progress of the digging except Father Nash, who was caught off guard. v
