Since the fourteenth century, every twenty-fifth year has been proclaimed a time of pilgrimage and special grace. The Hierarchy of the Church, as well as thousands of lay people, make an effort to visit the holy places of the Vatican. MOST REVEREND THOMAS L. NOA, D. D. THE MOST HEVEREND THOMAS L. NOA, Coadjutor Bishop under Bishop Heelan, was the driving force behind the pledge cam- paign. Bishop Noa was ordained in December, 1916, after attending North American College in Rome. He arrived in Sioux City in Iune, 1946, leaving in October, 1947, after he had received an appoint- ment to the Bishopric of Mar- quette. MOST REVEREND EDMOND J. HEELAN, D. D. THE MOST REVEREND EDMOND I. HEELAN, second Bishop of Sioux City, first conceived the idea of a Catholic Co-educational High School. Bishop Heelan was ordained at All Hallows Seminary in Ireland.
