All-Sports Banquet The All-Sports Banquet honoring all Crusader athletes was held on May 10, 1985, in the Community Center Building. The annual dinner was sponsored by the Booster Club and was highlighted by several gracious guest speakers. George Cumby, Gorman graduate and middle-linebacker for the Green Bay Packers, spoke of how his time at T. K. Gorman enriched and supported his athletic career. State Representative David Hudson presented the school with a commendation from the Legislature on Gorman's State Championship in football. City Councilman Les Ratliff, standing in for Mayor Halstead, praised the athletes for their fine work both on and off the field. Finally, special awards were presented to individual athletes as well as the State Championship football team. Tennis Crusaderette of the Year Amy Williams Boys M.V.P.
