Flag Ceremony DEDICATION HELD--Msgr. E.V. McCullough blesses the new flag, presented to the Catholic High School by Tyler's American Legion Post. Others taking part in the ceremony were Phil Staskus, the occasion's speaker, Fr. Paul Higginbotham, Fr. J. Przydacz and R.E. Hall, past commander of the Post. C, Edwards, commander of Tyler Veterans of Foreign Wars post, A.J. Kirkland, deputy chief of staff,and Mrs. W.B, Clarkston, president of ladies auxiliary.

CATHOLIC HIGH HOLDS KING AND QUEEN BALL The annual King and Queen Ball of Tyler Catholic High School was held Saturday night in the ball- room of the Blackstone Hotel. Following the grand march, the 1958 king and queen were crowned. They are Ronnie Hitt and Miss Brenda Sedberry. They were crowned by last year's king and queen, Bert Saleh and Miss Joyce George. Serving as attendants were Miss Peggy Staskus and Gary Saleh, Miss Judy Campbell and Bobby Geary, Miss Merigale Manziel and John Maher. Other members of the court were Miss Lilly Ann Khirallah, flower girl, Misses Dottie Sue and Vicki Lynn Manziel, train bearers, and Andy Saleh and Bobby Hitt, crown bearers . Music for dancing was in charge of a local radio disc jockey. Decorations were in school colors of green and white. The podium was flanked by palms and candelabra with white tapers . The refreshment table was laid with a white linen cloth outlined in ivy, and c e nte r e d with an arrangement of white mums and greenery. At either end of the table were silver candelabra de- corated with pink rosebuds and holding white tapers. The candelabra were shrouded in clouds of white maline. Mrs. Elias Joseph, social chairman of the school, was in charge of arrangements for the ball. 3
