,W , ,, Parents Association PARENTS ASSOCIATION FORMED A new venture in Parish affairs came into being on Monday evening, September ZZ, 1958, at a meeting in the High School cafeteria. A Parents Association was formed, By Laws were adopted and a slate of officers elected by 103 parents present at this first meeting. Mrs. Betty Jo Finn, President of the Mothers' Club, conducted the meeting and outlined the reasons for the creation of this new association. She explained that our Parish now operates both a grade school and a high school with more students, more parents, more class rooms and more problems and the Mothers Club wanted to be sure that both schools would benefit from the hard work and long hours spent by the Mothers' Club and the Booster Club on school assistance activities. These two clubs have now merged and ask that all parents in the Parish join the new association. The Mothers' Club has become the Mothers Committee and the Booster Club has become the Athletic Committee of the new association. The duties and responsibilities of both com- mittees have been broadened to include both schools. In addition, there is a Program Com- mittee to work for coordination of all Parish affairs, a S oc i al Committee to work with the Student Council, a Publicity Committee and Transportation Committee and an Auditing Com- mittee.
