HIS EXCELLENCY Tl-IE MOST REV. ROBERT J. DWYER BISHOP OE RENO For the last decade, Nevada has been in the company of the fastest growing states in the Union. Led by the Most Rev. Robert J. Dwyer, Bishop of Reno, the Church in Nevada has kept pace with this rapid growth. Throughout the state, the new churches stand as emerging signs of vitality and growth. New con- vents, rectories, parish halls, grade schools, clerical orders-- all of these give evidence to a bishop whose faith has enabled him to surmount difficult obstacles. Perhaps the most popularized structures within the past decade have been the diocese's two high schools, Bishop Gorman and Bishop Manogue. Together the two high schools enroll nearly 1500 students. Under the leadership of Bishop Dwyer, the Church has progressed with a persistency seen through the centuries. Her plans for the future are no less remarkable.
