History, art, music, literature, in short, life itself as seen through the ages are interwoven, complementary, and above all remarkable. The artist and the architect must be witnesses of the age they represent. They must both employ the elements of color, design, and proportion if their works are to remain the objects of long-lasting study and admiration. In the ART APPRECIATION classes students are given an understanding of the basic techniques and skills employed in the field of art.
