It is our hope that this publication of the Silvascope will recapture our school days, especially our most treasured moments. Keep it and let it remind you of the best days of your lives. Being that we are a Deanary Catholic High School, our education is also God centered. Therefore, it is only fitting that we dedicate the 1982 Silvascope to the priests of the Deanary who provide us with spiritual direction. The yearbook editors and staff woulk like to congratulate all the winners. J nd 9 Jhe I Uinner 9' THE PERFECT ATTENDANCE AWARD The winner, Kathy Rehak, clinched this award on the day she showed up, at 2:10, in the chemistry lab, with soaking wet hair, and innocently asked Am I late? Kathy's prize will be an alarm clock and a year's supply of absentee slips. THE MOST USELESS ACTIVITY AWARD The winners are C and E. Everyone who has ever been to a student council meeting will know why it won. Not to say they are boring, but the best motions made are the ones to adjourn the meetings. The runner- up is study hall. Mainly because most students seem to spend the entire 7th period trying to get out of wherever they're sup- posed to be, whether it be band, the H.E. room or the library. THE LEO KOPECKY AWARD Mr. K's twin would have to be Brenda Rolirad. He must have been her babysit- ter when she was little to have told her so many jokes. She has been known to dance uncontrollably whenever she so desires, regardless of time or place. Brenda's prize is a roll of scotch tape so she can try to keep her mouth closed for at least five minutes. 110 THE MOST OBSERVANT DRIVER AWARD Did you know that you can't wave at Mrs. Kolenovsky, talk to Darlene Koenig, honk to the kids on the bus, change tapes in your tape-player, arrange your books and back up at the same time? Our winner, Susan Prichard-Jones, sure found out in a hurry. The parking lot still bears pieces of her broken rear light. Her prize is a new pair of glasses and an armored car that is indestructible. THE WALT GARRISON AWARD And the winner is ... Red Mullholland, who else? Even Walt Gar- rison himself would be proud to know Red. He can be seen shuffling down the hall in his old boots, singing O Lord it's hard to be humble, with a skoal ring embedded on his back pocket. Red's prize is a year's sup- ply of skoal and a kiss from Sharon Kristynik, who kissed the next best thing to Red, Walt Garrison himself. in THE GOLDEN COMB AWARD The winner of this award is obvious. Whether in religion class, sitting in the lunchroom, on stage, or playing one of his many sports, Joseph Mikulik's hair is always perfect. His prize is a room full of mirrors and a comb to match his every outfit. THE ALL AROUND SOBBING AWARD The winner is B. She spends more time in class writing to Roger than doing her schoolwork. Of course, we must be sym- pathetic to Monica, after all, isn't it hard to live through a whole day without her Teddy Rog. Monica's prize is a year's supply of kleenex and perfumed notebook paper. THE SIAMESE TWINS AWARD The dictionary defines Siamese twins as any pair of twins joined together at birth. Our winners, Jesse and Lori certainly fit this description. Their prize is a crowbar so someday they can pry themselves apart. 112 PATRON ADS Alan Herzik, D.D.S.
