5 urtfcoRc 75 —PUBLISHED BY- BISHOP FOREST ANNUAL STAFF AND SENIOR CLASS The 1974-75 school year started with happy times for everyone. We hope we have enclosed in this book, all the memories and cherished moments that you will have wanted to look back on as a treasured part of your past. Bishop Forest has been a real inspiration to each of us. The teachers have been most influential by giving of themselves every day for the sake of their students. They have taught us that love of learning is the key to knowledge, and that knowledge is a gift of God. We are thankful that we have been gifted with this Catholic education. We will never forget the beau- tiful prayer.....“GOD grant me the SERENITY to accept the things I cannot change, the COURAGE to change the things I can, and the WISDOM to know the difference.” We are grateful for the privilege of receiving a Catholic education, where we tasted the beauty of soli- tude and serenity, and above all, were given a knowledge of good morals for our future. So with this book of cherished memories, we would like to leave these thoughts. Remember not only to see things as they are and say, WHY______ Dream things that never were and say, WHY NOT. When we act as individual students, often we don’t have the time, knowledge and energy to exert a significant influence on the goals we would like to attain. Goals set by one person usually don’t get carried out. However an organized group of students working together can achieve much more and have a much greater influence on issues or projects impor- tant to them. An example of such an organization is the Student Council. The Student Council be- longs to the school and its student body and there- fore strives to involve all students in every aspect of school life. Our goal as the Bishop Forest Student Council is not to seem greater than the student body but to make them realize how important they are to the future of our school. We must work with them so that they can develop their own talents of leader- ship and service to our school and community. We take pride as leaders of our school but, we are no better than the rest of the students because the Stu- dent Council is the Student Body. NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY For us it is hard to express our feelings for our school in mere words. We feel as if we have a very important role to play in our school. We represent, and try to project an enthusiasm for scholarship. Yet this is only a part of our purpose. We are also depended on to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to encourage the development of character in students of BFH. We feel as if we are a special part of our school and an important as- set for its benefit. We feel very fortunate to be chosen as members of this or- ganization. Being an N.H.S. member may seem like something to be proud of in itself. But to be an N.H.S. member at BFH is something to be more than proud of, it is something to be grateful for. This is because we know how for- tunate we are to have such a special school. So in gratitude to everyone who made Bishop Forest High possible we would like to send a special THANKS! 1974-75 National Honor Society OFFICERS Debbie Bohac—Reporter Dianne Mensik—Secretary Karen Lednicky—President Diane Besetzny—Vice President Phillip Hadash—Treasurer Jennifer Cernoch—Parliamentary 17 PERSEVERANCE. . . That is how we, the Bishop Forest Ran- ger Band began our first practice of the 1974-75 season. Co-operation and harmony were the ascending signs of our musical talents. In the past year, we marched in parades, performed half-time shows, and en- tertained many friends with our music. We can only say that we are proud of our band and that we really proved that GOOD THINGS COME IN SMALL PACKAGES!!! ON their WAY TO THE TOP! Believing that you are the best is an essential attitude to posess on the journey to success in life and the self-confidence makes life all together more enjoyable and meaningful. The Stage Band as a group and each member as an individual, can honest- ly say that we have experienced this quality; both when performing and practicing. We are grateful to have the opportu- nity of performing and playing our music for all to hear. Even though we are small in number, we are large at heart and our music proves this qual- ity. 1974-75 STAGE BAND MAJORET 20 TE8 '74-75 hamer, Fresh. Here some of the Finest instructors came from various parts of the states to prepare us for the up-coming year. It is preparation for future work and happi- ness, because if we don’t learn to work together as Sophomores we surely will not be able to in the fu- ture where it is all important. So, in other words, being a Sophomore is learning to be a friend and a fellow worker. None of this could be achieved if it weren’t for B.F.H. and the wonderful people there. For it’s the closeness that is possessed by the friends there, that we will miss one day when we leave this great school. We shall take with us the memories that were and will be shared. This principle also applies to Bishop Forest. Of the time that we the Freshman Class have spent here, at Bishop Forest, we have learned something that shall always be in our hearts. Bishop Forest is more. More than what we ever thought. It is an optimistic attitude toward the future. It is learning to be ourselves and to know ourselves and others. Once again, the time has come upon us to collect our memories. We, the Seniors, have surpassed another year. We have been taught ideas and facts and have used each in our day. And upon these ideas we shall build our futures. In the beginning we started with nothing but the air we breathe, the ground we stand upon and the appreciation of our loved ones. This is what we started with but now each of us is prepared and willing to further our knowledge for ourselves and others. Each of us stands for his own belief, but all of us stand for our historical and power- ful school. For it shall prepare us all for the future. No matter what it shall contain, we will face it with faith. Within this school alone we have faced sorrow and happiness, life and death, victory and defeat, and all the expec- tations they may contain. It has taught us to love one another and listen to others, and above all, it has pre- pared us for life. 77 MOST LIKELY TO SUCCEED Ronnie Langhamer Janice Stryk MOST AMBITIOUS Mark Janda Charlene Muras MOST STUDIOUS Judy Roeder Dianne Mensik MOST LIKELY TO BE REMEMBERED Jane Mazoch Cindy Klesel 78 BEST PERSONALITY CAMPUS RUNABOUTS MOST DEPENDABLE Anthony Kristynik Diane Besetzny Raymond Chance Joe Havelka Gary Krupala Ronald Bohac MOST MISCHIEVIOUS Ron Srubar Liz Janda WITTIEST Robert Winkler Arlene Hoeinghaus jA BIGGEST FLIRT Danny Marek Tracy Miksch BOLDEST SHYEST Jennifer Cernoch Theresa Schlebach THIS IS OUR TIME, OUR SHOT AT MAKING AN IMPACT ON HISTORY, BY SHOWING THE SENIOR PERSONALITIES 79 BLESS ME FATHER' The fun begins when Father Charles mistakenly believes that Father Richard is about to leave the priesthood and get married.
