Komzge nga I 1 College Night. Another First For Bishop Egan--Father Regis addressed parents and students on the importance of a college education, and wammly welcomed the many Priests. Sisters, Brothers, and Laymen who were representatives from the various Catholic Colleges. Bishop Egan's First Annual College Night proved to he a most beneficial and highly successful event, judging from the interested and enthusiastic response of all who participated. The purpose of College Night was to familiarize parents and students with the aims, curricula, and requirements of those colleges in which they might he interested. This new venture was organized hy Father Noel, Bishop Egan's spirited Prelect of Studies who spear- headed another first with his usual energy and en- thusiasm. As a result of Fathers excellent planning, twenty-four Catholic colleges were represented and approximately eight hundred parents and students attended. Father John J. Vvelsh. T.O.R,, was undoubtedly pleased with his full house as he explained to interested parents and students the special merits and requirements ol St. Francis College in Loretto. Pennsylvania.
