Loyal Efganitesu pourecl from every corner of the huilcling ami. following the path marked out by crosshearer, Wm. Goodwin, and acolytes. P. Van Wumick ancl J. Lynman, wallteci in procession. echoing and re-echoing the words of the uHail ag rowning Mm Leading the long line of stucients to our Lacigfs Shrine is Mary Ellen Hagan. who just a few months ago, fFebruary 2. 19601. was chosen to lead Bishop Eganl Procession to the Throne of Goci in Heaven. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost . . . thus it all began. Before we knew it, we, the Students of Bishop Egan were participating in our first May Pro- cession. Following those preceding us, we walicecl slowly, reverently, saying the rosary. Every step as well as every Hail Mary was a prayer of loving tribute to Our Heavenly Queen . . . No fanfare . . . no woricily pomp and circumstance had any place in this living offering we were pre- sentingg--for, on this lovely May-Day we were giving ourselves to Mary. With the simplest words, we praised Her: attirecl in the simplest of dress: we approached Her: and with the most delicate Howers, we crowneci Her-Mother of God. We imeit hefore Her--Our Mother-to re- ceive Her blessing. Then, in a fitting and just manner, we sang His praises and felt the Divine Power and Holiness of the outstretched Hands of Christ raised above our heads in a final Benedic- tion. Recalling that lovely spring day, we will ever he grateful to Almighty God for the priv- ilege of giving tribute to His glorious Mother in such utter and complete simplicity. May Queen. E. Mari, and her court. P. Mano, A, Horan. T. Ehling. with Fhdlef Fixieiis, approach the statue of Our la dy.
