The 1976-1977 school year brought many unique experiences to the Bish- op Dwenger Community. We shared the optimism that each new school year brings to classes, assemblies and to sports competitions. The joy of vic- tories and the thrills of individual achievements gave us pride in each other and in our school. The year also brought to the school a unity caused by the deep concern we felt for some of our members. We were witnesses to a tremendous dis- play in spiritual and physical courage in the face of pain and suffering and eventual death. Bob Wehrly Brought 1100 souls closer together, not by beating a martial drum or broadcasting a revolutionary appeal, but by simply suffering, inspiring by his quiet courage an entire school, to discover in itself its own Christian- ity. The experiences affected us differ- ently, but we all have grown, we have all progressed on our road to matur- ity. Fly Like An Eagle 2 OPENING
