This man has dedicated himself to the Dunne Community for the last nine years. Through his 'complete devotion to our school, he has gained admiration from everyone. He is respected not only as an administrator but also as a teacher, Brother, and friend. It is because of this man 's outstanding character, dedication, and contribution to Bishop Dunne that we dedicate the 1975 MITRE to Brother Anthony DuRapau. During the first semester of this year Brother Adrian was on sabbatical in the Sangre' De Cristo Retreat Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Brother Anthony Du Rapau is the assistant principal in charge of academic affairs. Brother Anthony was the acting principal during the first semester of the year while Brother Adrian was on sabbatical. Besides keeping busy in the office, Brother also teaches calculus. Brother Anthony conducts the awards ceremony for the first quarter. Sister Mary Bosco Allen was the acting assistant princi- pal for the first semesterg Coordinator of Student Activities. I Brother William Chester is the Dean of Students and also moderator of the Key Club. After countless hours of practice and dedication both the students and Mr. Parsons , our band has received top national ratings . 1 N 38 HOME ECONOMICS DEPARTMENT Mrs. Cheryl Malone is in her third year of teaching home economics. Basically, home economics is designed to teach or improve students' domestic skills. Both the boys and the girls learn to sew and cook. Child care and family planning are also offered. 4 Q.. N ART DEPARTMENT 1 03 l Ms. Shirley Ballard is in her second year of teaching art at Dunne . Classes once again were taught certain crafts and drawing. An art course at Bishop Dunne enables the student to express himself and also learn to appreciate different types of artwork. A visit to an art class would show how much talent and imagination many of our students have . 40 Ms. Ballard is always ready to help her students . Cheerleading Camp. Their practicing paid off , as they brought home a spirit stick, three superior blue ribbons, and one excellent ribbon earned in competition. This was the meal served on Food Day, which was Thursday, March 27 , for the Dunne community. It consisted of pinto beans, salad, cornbread, and your choice of an orange or a peach. The purpose of Food Day was to familiarize the students with the eating habits of others around the world. There were guest speakers, films, and a special prayer service.
