OUR SCHOOL Ninety freshmen marched into a barracks building in Lemay, September 5, 1950. Eight years and 600,000 bricks later, Bishop DuBourg High School stands on the lot at Hampton and Iiichelberger as the largest high school in St. Louis, the largest school in the Midwest. It's not the unique gym roof, not the 600 miles of electric wire, not the 720-foot-long corri- dor that makes it the finest school. The very modern equipment in every department helps to make it a fine school. The useful features of all the rooms help to make it a fine school. The pro- gram of studies ranging from practical arts to col- lege preparatory subjects helps to make it a fine school. But what really makes it a wonderful school are the people in it. Our l00 and more friendly teachers, our cheerful classmates and friends among the 2000 students, make our school a place for opportunities unlimited, for the joy of growth and life and plenty.
