Ken Vittitow. leading the attack, the young Falcons jumped to an early 7-2 record However, it wasn ' t long before the surge came to a halt Back-to- back losses at Fern Creek and Ballard during mid-season seemed to kill the team ' s spirit After these two losses, the JV players never seemed to get rolling again. 3C Frosh roundballers long on spirit A s the freshmen took to the courts, their spirit and determination shown through Being divided into two teams, their chances of success doubled during the year There was a regular freshman team and a second team, called the B-Birds The freshman team had a rough season ending up with a record of 2 wins and 12 losses Coach Ken Black attributed this dif- ficulty to the smaller size of the freshmen compared to their opponents The team, however, put out much hustle in spite of the odds and the final scores of the games were close.
