Can it be Dastardly Dan? I his year ' s juniors were a lively bunch, to say the least. With the De- Spains, Clarks and Franklins in atten- dance, there was never a dull moment. He is a quiet leader . Alan Deddens (Left) and classmate. Rick Cusick, are as enthused as any student when it was an- nounced that Field Day was postponed because of rain. Classes were dismissed early that day. ft ft I $ M nick Cusick played an important part, not only in the class of ' 77, but also in the entire school atmosphere. Rick didn ' t participate in any sports, nor in any extra-curricular activity, with the exception of the National Honor Society into which he was re- cently inducted, but he is the type of guy who is a quiet leader. Through his attendance at football and basketball games, he uplifted the spirit of all who were there cheering the faithful on. Rick may not have cheered the loud- est, but sportin ' those Georgia State Patrol shades, his presence was never taken for granted. Academically, he was a stalwart stu- dent shown by the fact that he re- ceived an award for being on the hon- or roll for three consecutive years. More importantly, class environment was enriched by his witty and tactful humor. His calculator jokes were a welcomed break in the classroom rou- tine. If for some reason there would be an emergency, Ricky would always be there ready and willing to pitch in. With the Class of ' 77 being hurled to- ward their final year, he will be there along with his class, enthused as ever, awaiting graduation, and the outside world. r P. Ray R. Rice J. Robbins M.
