Students had dinner and received their rings in the cafeteria then pro- ceeded to the gym for dancing till 12 mid- night. Mr. Kevin Brever, moderator of the junior class, worked hard on arranging the evening ' s schedule. It was the only major event spon- sored by the junior class. Everyone who at- tended had a great time. It was a chance for the boys to get their girls bouquets of flow- ers and go to a dance. The gym was deco- rated by hard-working students for the oc- casion Getting together for a group effort, Keith Saks ski. Moderator; Steve President, hadowen, Secretary, Mark Gillespie, Vice-Presi- I 1 I his was considered by most juniors, an unforgettable year of alterations. The year flew too, although no one thought it would because of the controversies over parking and the locker situation. Parking was not available to all juniors at first, but by assigning parking spaces differ- ently, the problem was solved. The chaos over the lockers was caused because there were not enough of the large type to ac- commodate all students. Through senior privi- lege and the fact that freshmen and sopho- mores needed them for gym bags, juniors were assigned smaller, less desirable lockers. Thus, juniors were destined to scraped-up book edges, wrinkled papers, and just plain no room. These road blocks were eventually hurdled and, wham, like a young bird thrust into flight, the year was off. Field Day, Try- It-Week, football and basketball games, A.M. mixers, and Sundays at Otter Creek were all great, but the fireball event was the Junior Ring Dance. Live music, a date, and a chance to really get dressed up, and you were on your way to a night of total enjoy- ment. With the announcement that the juniors could leave on the senior bell after the se- niors graduated in May, the class was pro- pelled into the anxious summer, awaiting the magical moment of coming back next fall as seniors, the leaders of the school.
