WEEK iv I - During the week of March 15-18, 1976, the students were asked to try something different in terms of education. The Student Council and National Honor Society spon- sored an experimental Try-It Week cur- riculum which lasted four days. There were over 120 courses offered taught by faculty members, students, and professionals from all walks of life. Among the courses taught were such things as pot- tery, dancing, calligraphy, bridge, basketball officiating, guitar and even gourmet cooking. There were also several field trips sched- uled during that week. Mr. Robert Eckert and Mr. Robert Casey took a group to down- town Louisville to visit the City Hall and Courthouse and the photography club went to the Fulltone Photo Lab. The highlight of the week occured when Mayor Harvey Sloane visited the school on Thursday, March 18, 1976, in connection with a course on city government. He was presented with an honorary Falcon certifi- cate, n Mayor Harvey Sloane answers a question about summer golf passes to students during his talk in the library.
