Father Joseph Sartoris, vice-principal , leaves no room for a shadow of doubt when teaching his senior apologetics and marriage classes. To keep attendance records straight, Sister Mary As- sumpta, S.M,, records the daily attendance. As Dean of the Upper Division, Sister also spends much time advising and assisting girls in their day to day problems. Of the many influences which aid in shaping the student at Conaty none casts a greater shadow than the guiding hand of the faculty. So it is that each graduate looks back with gratitude to the understanding and interest of her teachers, religious and lay. From their instruction and example she has learned the joy of living in the shadow of His love. Who serve unto the Sister Mary Ruth, S.M., Dean of the Lower Division, finds the tele- phone a valuable aid for keeping in touch with parents concerning the welfare of their daughters.

N A K KJYV ss, ,Q POWER an In addition to her duties as head of the History Department, Sister Agnes Per- petua, P.B.V.M., moderates the CSF and informs all students of scholarship and college opportunities. National Honor Society moderator, Sis- ter Mary Christopher, P.B.V.M., teaches History I and II. Teaching freshman religion as well as sophomore and lunior historv makes up Sister Mary Xavier, P.B.V.M.'s schedule. Sister Mary Richard, P.B.V.M., divides her time hetween teaching freshman re- ligion, History l and II, and advising the junior Red Cross. Sister Mary Canisius, P.B.V.M., who teaches ninth grade religion and History I and II, also moderates the very active Civics club. The French Department is Linder the di- rection of Sister Marv Ann Loyola, S.M.M.G., who teaches four years of French and freshman religion.
