The works comprising the exhibition are examples of the creative efforts of the Afro-American artist who has been over-looked by the mainstream of American society. The Museum staff is pleased to note that in recent years works of Afro-American artists have begun to receive some of the recognition so richly deserved. The Museum will continue to present quality exhibitions in an effort to provide the Bishop College Family and the surrounding community with an avenue through which they can see and relate to the contributions of Afro-American artists to American culture.
