But it would be out of character for me to take that approach, and so I yeild to other instincts, and express my feelings in the above picture. However, as I take a moment to reflect on the past year at B. C ., I feel a greater urge to share a thought or two on the B. C. student. The students here ha ve been the most friendly and enjoyable that I ha ve ever associated with. Perhaps that is said easily from hindsight, yet the feeling remains a strong one. Bishop Carroll students are special. The enthusiasm and concern that I have seen generated from working and being together is what gives this school a distinct personality. The friendliness and loyalty shown become so much a natural way of dealing with each other, that it often goes unrecognized. Yet that is what impressed me the most. As the Senior class departs for other ventures and broader horizons, the test of time will truly determine the depth and maturity of the friendships established. You 'II tra vel. You 'Il change. You 'll continue to grow and refine your ideals and ideas. But if you live the values you have learned at Bishop Carroll, you will have a rewarding and God-centered life. Lastly, I thank all who have made this book possible. It took the effort of many to reach this stage.
