La tin Club Enjoyment while learning the language is the chief purpose of this organization. The main aspects of this club are three- fold: cultural, social, and service. The club's activites include the following: a trip to the J. Paul Getty Museum, picnics, a trip to the Huntington Library, produc- tion of a Mythological play, a Gregorian chant mass, involve- ment with the mentally handi- capped at Pacific State Hospital, and entertaining at convalescent homes. The year's activities are con- cluded with the annual Roman Banquet. The officers and their moderator are: moderator, Sis- ter Conheadyp president, Laura Kiel, vice-president, Maggie Mor- risette, and treasurer, Tony Wheeler. Spanish Club The purpose of the Spanish Club is to bring out a clear understanding and aware- ness ofthe Spanish culture. The major activities are Guadalupe Day, a trip to Tijuana, and the banquet. Guadalupe Day is Decem- ber 12. The Spanish classes assemble in the patio area and recite the rosary in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe. The trip to Tijuana is the Christian Service Project. Toys and clothes are gathered and taken to an orphanage there. This project takes place during the Christmas season. The banquet is held in a Spanish restaurant. The Club assembles, and certificates are given to those students with outstanding achievement in the Spanish classes. The officers and their moderator are: moderator, Mrs. Emeteriog president, Odalis Camacho, vice-president, Andrew Ortiz, secretary, Alicia Castillo, and treasurer, Blanca Hernandez. 155

Aviation Club The Aviation Club, which intro- duces its members to aviation, explores many fields of aeronau- tics. One method of exploration is taking field trips. Tours of the Jet Propulsioin Lab- oratory and the hangers and main- tance areas of Continental Airlines are included. The club also planned to fly to a few air towers and plane shows. The officers and their moderator are: moderator, Mr. Crawley, presi- dent, Tom Halsellg vice-president, Mike Legaspeg secretaryftreasurer, Aurora Ruiz. Hun ting And Fishing Hunting and Fishing is a new club this year. Its aims are to encourage students of further their knowledge of hunting and fishing techniques.
