JOHN BOSTIC Cope If you ever talked to John very long you usually ended up discussing or arguing sports John played baseball basketball, and football In high school He was boys sports editor on the Hi Lltes staff and he wrote some original and exciting stories Besides sports he liked music He was a loyal member ofthe glee club He was carefree but had a strong sense of responsibility He was well liked by all his classmates DORIS DUNN Dunn 'Un 'Maze 'iff' The gay and energetic spirit of Doris w ll always be remembered with fondness She was always in good spirits spreading cheer fulness wherever she went Some of her many activities included cheerleading glee club HI Lites staff She had a good alto voice and it really aided her In her cheerleading Doris s sparkling personality was a credit to her and made her popular among the student body CURTIS CROTTS Cos We Il remember Curtis as the quiet good natured boy whose ambition was to become a mortlcian He was gifted with a beautiful tenor voice and everyone erqoyed hearmg hum sing He' was doing agoo 'ob in football until he sfustained a wriist iniu His pleasant smile and cheerful' dispositgon made him a favorite of lrthe seniors ' B ETTY DY SON Shorty Our most vivid memory of a senior will probably be that of Betty Dyson She certainly proved the adage precious things come in small packages. She was a member of the Beta Club, and won four letters in basketball, a convincing debater, an alto in the glee club. She was also a member of the Hi-Lites and Memories staff. Her cheerfulness and good humor, thoughtfulness and co-operative spirit made her one of the most loved seniors of the class of fifty-one. 9 'Wk

SEN IDRS ANN BURT Annie WINFORD BATTEN CCPOPQ! We'll never forget Winford and his ability to get things done. He worked hard in his iob as business manager of the Hi-Lites ond Memories and always did a good iob. He was a member of the Beta Club, the bas- ketball team, the football team, the parlia- mentary procedure team, as well as a class officer. ln his iunior year he was in the iunior play and was chosen as one of the marshals. He was admired by both students and teachers. Ann lives in our memory as a friendly, energetic, and very witty person. She was always bubblii g over with energy which had its outlet in tl'e Biscoe Hi-Lifes staff, on the basketbal team, debating team, Beta Club, and her school studies. In her senior year she was co-captain of the basketball team and alsc secretary of her class. S ,f EUGENE BOSTIC ' 'Gene' ' If a quick wwit and a friendly smile will get you anywhere, Eugene will have certainly traveled. He liked 'sportfs best in high school. He was'a'good end? on the football team and a trjicky southpaw on e baseball team. Everyone liked Eugenev: He was their idea of a teolly good spoilt! ukf. 'lf' X., . L... ' ,,,,f MARY ANN CALLIHAN GIMac37 The memory of Mary Ann will remain with Us a long tim-1. She always had a friendly smile and a cheerful disposition. Asking questions was her hobby and she usually profited by it. She was a member of the Beta Club, basketball team, glee club, and Hi- Lites staff. She did a good iob as vice president of her senior class. She had a lovely voice and was asked to sing on many occasions. She was a good student with a host of friends. 8 S f' 5 is

M INGRAM JENKINS Cfwifii lngram's memory will remain with us many years. Everything he did was done well. He had a friendly manner and a co-operative at- titude that everyone loved. He was a member of the basketball team, Beta Club, glee club, and the Hi-Lites staff. He was president of the senior class and an outstanding student. lngram's wit and personality made him a fav- orite among his friends. JOANN GADDY CC-,097 We remember Joann as a girl who was certainly not hard to look at. Her gaiety and high spirit always kept us in good humor. She was keen in her studies and also a good worker in the school activities. She was a cheerleader, Beta Club member, glee club member, a member of the Hi-L,ites and Memories staff. She was also a debater. Her nimble fingers and lovely voice en- livened many an occasion. We will always admire and love her for her talent and help-- fulness. 'ivan-ww HAROLD JOHNSON Gabe When we look back upon Harold's high school life we'll remember a friendly, good looking, cheerful boy. Most of his attention was given to athletics - basketball and foot- ball, but he also enjoyed, as everyone else, the glee club. Basketball was his favorite sport and he excelled in it. He was very pop- ular with both the boys and girls. He was always laughing about something and when- ever you saw him in a group you knevi they were having a good time. We will never for- get Harold and his wonderful personality. to ! BETTY HARV EL Harvel Our memory of Betty Harvel will be quite varied. To some she was a ball of energy always rolling. Others will remember her as a faithful and warm-hearted friend. Her many activities can't be recorded here but some of them were: Beta Club, glee club, Hi-Lites staff and Memories staff. lf you think our school paper and annual a success a lot of the praise should go to Betty. Her constant work did not dim her personality. She was light-hearted and had a winsome smile. Truly she is a girl to be long remembered. I0 Seniors 'UQ'
