V .Y ,W-.....Mi.,, ,History A In the Fall of 1942, with Catherine Evensizer as the instructor, ten scholars entered the first grade at Bisbee for the beginning of their formal education. They were: Ronald Ellingson, Edward Brannan, Billy .Toe Krick, Rochelle Anderson, Gail Erick- son, Theone Fosberg, Ernest Malmedahl, Bruce Scobba and Bruce Tweten. In the second grade, with Mrs. Elsie Storley as teacher, the class was without Bruce Tweten and Bruce Scobba, but gained Monica Lee. Again changing teachers in the third grade, now having Signey Peterson as instructor, we added to our class enrollment Margaret Berg, Victor Moyer, and Herman Delvoe. In the fourth grade, with Doris Watts! as teacher, Victor Moyer left our happy and academic group. In both the fifth and sixth grades, we had the same teacher, Doris Smith, and with the exception of Herman Delvoe, the class remained intact. Mrs, Doris B1-etheim our instructor as we entered the seventh grade, feeling more like junior high students than before -class intact. Then the final grade, the eighth, with Margaret Dreyer as teacher, our class gained one more with the entrance of Gene Marquardt. The first year in high school, the Freshman year, our class changed quite a bit, with Ernest Malmedahl leaving, and Charles Peters, Stanley Halling, Leon Larson, and Donald Johnson joining us for the edification of secondary knowledge. There were no radical changes in the curriculum or class enrollment during the sophomore year, but in the junior year Gail Erickson felt she must leave our group, and with longing eyes, we settled down to studies again, with our class numbering one less. The final total of twelve were graduated at the Bisbee Auditorium on May 27, 1954, handed high school diplomas, and severed legal connections with the Bisbee school for academic reasons. Time will never sever our feelings for the old alma mater that has given us so much to use in life, U Our high school faculty consisted of the following people during the four years: Messrs Stanton, Ulland, Melstad, Ellingson, Bishop, Teachmond, Curtis, Humphrey, Spillum, Krug, and Miss Hierath, 7 -' 'Q-Y ' ' -- M ' .......,- ..... ...W .Ma..,,.,,,,,,,,......-a...ui,..,.....: ,
