Basketball . . . 14 Class History In the fall of 1941, fourteen students started their education in the Bisbee Public School. In the first grade we had 7 boys and 7 girls. They were the following: Rolf Peterson, Elroy Madsen, Richard Lien, William Hendrickson, Jacky Kristensen, James Larson, Ernest Malmedahl. The girls were: Celeste Bishop, Kay Borvik, Vivian Gerrard, Darleth Bierman, Dorothy Cookman, Beverly Hier, Charlotte Keller. Our teacher was Miss Evensizer. In the secnnd grade we lost Ernest Malmedahl and Beverly Hier. Miss Evensizer was our teacher. In the third grade we gained two students: Elaine Lee and Virginia Pedersen. We lost Celeste Bishop, Kay Borvik, Rolf Peterson and Elroy Madsen. Miss Sillers was our teacher. In the fourth grade we gained four students. Marjorie Gerrard, Katharine Allard, Lorraine O'Brien and Beverly Hier returned to continue school here. We lost Virginia Pedersen. Miss Peterson was our teacher. In the fifth grade we gained three students: Myron Petsinger, Lydia Westemeier, Sheldon Schmidt: and lost Katharine Allard. Miss Smith was our teacher. In the sixth grade we lost Celeste Bishop. Miss Smith was our teacher. After six long years, we finally got to climb the two flights of stairs leading us to the seventh and eighth grade room where we began Junior High. We lost Beverly Hier. Mrs. Bretheim was our teacher. In the eighth grade we spent the first half of the year upstairsg later they moved us down where we occupied the old bandroorn. We gained a new student, Alf Pollestad. Mrs. Bretheim was our teacher. The following graduated from the eighth grade: Richard Lien, William Hendrickson, James Larson, Jacky Kristensen, Sheldon Schrnidt, Alf Pollestad, Darleth Bierman, Vivian Gerrard, Dorothy Cookman, Charlotte Keller, Elaine Lee, Lydia Westemeier and Marjorie Gerrard. We finally made it into high school and here we gained Marcia Larson and lost Sheldon Schmidt. Through the following years of high school our class has remained the same. Our teachers during our high school years were the following: Mr. Stanton, Mr. Melsted Mr. Humphrey, Mr. Ulland, Mr. Curtis, Mr. Bishop, Mr. Thachmond, Mr. Ellingson, Miss Svingen and Miss Hierath. a 15 Senior Clas s Will We, the Seniors of Bisbee High School, being of sound minds, and doubtful reputation in the present of these witnesses,do herby will and bequeath to the following: I, Vivian Gerrard, will my diet chart to anyone who can follow it better than I did. I, Marjorie Gerrard, will my red hair to Rochelle Anderson. I, William Hendrickson, will my fishing rod to Bruce Tweten so that he can catch a girl. I, Lydia Westemeier, will my wrestling ability to Margaret Berg. I, Alf Pollestad, will my jeep to Stanley Halling. I, Elaine Lee, will my D in typing to anyone who gets an F , I, Marcia Larson, will my basketball suitcase to Alice Keller. I, James Larson, will my Sunday afternoon trips to Cando to Edward Brannon. I, Richard Lien, will my presidency of F. F. A. to some able Junior that can handle it better than I did. I, Jacky Kristensen, will my ping pong playing ability to Nicky Bishop. I, Charlotte Keller, will my black eyes and ripped basketball trunk! to any in need of some excitement. I, Dorothy Cookman, will my job of Informer editor to any poor Junior who wants it. WE THE SENIORS WILL: To the Sophomores, the ability to put on a good school partyg To the Juniors, all our headaches of putting out this annual, To the Freshmen, fWhat's left to givej f?j lo Senior Clas s Prophecy Ten years have gone by since the Senior Class of 1953 have graduated from Bisbee High School. At the present we find the following: Darleth Bierman is now the owner and operator of Bierman's Poultry Ranch , near Kalamazoo, Michigan. Darleth says she has little time for outside activitiesg her chicks take up most of her time. Dorothy Cookman is the world's most famous Woman Daredevil Driver. She thrills fans with her daring feats in the lightning speed 1936 Ford. She has just set a new record of 176 miles per hour. Marjorie Gerrard is now the head cigarette girl at the famous White Ties and Tails night club in Perth. This night club is one of North Dakota's most famous, due to its popularity in previous years. Vivian Gerrard is now a famous star on The Grand Old Opery . Her beautiful yodeling is know throughout the country. William Hendrickson is now the most famous man with money. He is recognized as being the only man with 1321 oil wells on his quarter farm. He drives nothing but Model-A Fords. Charlotte Keller has opened a dancing school in Bisbee. She specializes in Rhumbas, Congas, Tangos and Sambas. Jacky Kristensen has invented the wrinkle-proof, kndwresistent tie. While he has brought fame and fortune, his favorite pastime is tinkering with one of his many Buicks . James Larson has won the Audubon Award for the most original collection of bird books in the world. He now has a job in the Bird Observatory in Meadowlard Lake, Montana. Marcia Larson, we find, is star forward with the internationally famous Redheads women basketball team. She has dyed her hair red you know. Elaine Lee, better known as Bubbles Lee , is now starring in The Stork Club in New York City. She is the highest paid bubble dancer in the world. Richard Lien, we find, is a wealthy Wall Street Banker. He has just divorced his 7th wife, and announced his forthcoming marriage to Rochelle Anderson, a former classmate. Alf Pollestad is sole owner and operator of the Bisbee Push and Pull Dairy . He spends most of his time milking and grooming his 29 beautiful Holstein milk cows. Lydia Westemeier is now married to Curtis Larson after 8 years of courting.
