DEDICATIO This year the 1963-64 Rebel yearbook is dedicated to Mrs. Hale, the chairman of Birney's art department. In her five years at this school, she has offered her students a wonderful opportunity for learning, great encouragement, and excellent guidance. Not only in the classroom have Mrs. Ha1e's talents become apparent, but also in the staging of our school plays and musicls, and in the directing of the art club. RS. MARY HALE

The first step in the making of the yearbook was to decide how to arrange the book and what art work should be done. Then the club, team, and single stu- dent pictures were taken and the names of students in the pict- ures were recorded, alphabetized, and' typed. The next step was to write articles, and put all the materials together making a dummy book. This copy was then sent to the Midwest Year- book Company where the 350 final copies were printed. ,. .- Rebel i p The Rebel Staff Worked Many Long Hours to Produce this Book.
