Gordon Meyer was born April 24, 1917, at Aberdeen, South Dakota. Moved to Birnamwood August, 1920. Graduated from Birnamwood High School in 1935. Joined the Army February 5, 1942. Went overseas and took part in the invasion of Saipan. Contacted Dengue Fever—Lymphatic leuke- mia followed. Was returned to the states and hospitalized for six montns.
