foreword After the noise is gone and the debris is cleared away, Birmingham will stand as a showplace of beautiful, modern buildings. The old buildings, to which we have become attached, will be shipped away. Nothing will be left but their memory. Part of the tremendous spirit that we hold is gener- ated by these old structures themselves. We alternate between complaining about the buildings and defending them against the derision of other schools. However, in the near future we will be proud of our buildings as well as our achievements and our teams. Just as we watch our new school being transformed from a blueprint to a reality, we blueprint our goals today and build them into a reality with the success of tomorrow. Today's seniors are the builders of tomorrow's world. Their thoughts, their ideas, and their plans will help to determine the future of our country and our world.
