Those who participate in it assume responsibilities and gain valuable experience in developing their ability to organize and work with others. In a larger sense, each of us plays a significant part in governing our school, whether we serve in the capacity of officer, commissioner, justice or as voters, the mainstay of government. By successfully governing our school according to the principles of democracy, we become aware of the functioning of government and will be better able to assume our adult position in the greatest of all democracies, America.
