flax prophecy One evening as I was coming home from my working place, I met a truck driver with a smirk on his face. I was driving on my own side of the street, But the driver wasn't at all discreet, For he gave no heed to where he drove, And soon succeeded in shoving me off the road. I iumped out of my car, which wm a mess, And I was surprised, I must confess, For the driver of the truck was Gerald Tedrow, Wnom I had graduated with six years ago. We started talking about old schooldays, And decided we'd split the cost two ways. Before I could get back in my car to go, A car came down the road moving very slow. In the car were two young men. One was sort of short and the other thin. 'Need any help? , the thin one called. Well, for goodness sakes, it's Dean Halll I tumed to look at the other slowly, It was then I recognized William Boley. They said they had both boudmt a farm, And were lust coming home from the sale bam. I got back in my car and drove away, Hoping to see them soon another day. Wien I got home, my back begm to ache, So I went to the doctor, for my own sake. The office room was empty, the doctor wasn't in. I thought I recognized the nurse so I looked again. It was Evelyn Carter, a chum of mine in school. She was bright and cheery, always was as a rule. We talked to each other for quite a while, Then a pretty nurse came in and began to smile. It was Sharon Huisman, as pretty as ever. To be a nurse was her greatest endeavor. She was an X-ray technician, so she gave me an X-ray And said I would be better but to come back Nonday. My car was now a demolished Dodge, So I decided to take it to the garage. There wcs already a customer there. I thought l remembered her from somewhere. It was Janet Loeffler who had a good iob. She worked in the Universal and was engaged to Bob. Then over walked Bob Smith and Doyle Bishopl They owned the garage together to make it efficient, Doyle had studied mechanics and Bob had too. Together they did all the work there was to da. Doyle said my car was beyond repair. l'd have to buy another, but no other could compare. I3
