SECOND ROW--Verna Warren,Jackie Baile, Joan Leisure,Luceen Bunjes Stanley Lamb, Carol Jean Nothdurft, Margaret Cole, Elaine Bowers. THIRD ROW--Nola Wolfe, Twila Underwood,Arnold Smith, Robert Sharp Melvin Steele, Thelma Jean Fishel, Ardis Alberty, Verna Pantier. Twenty-five Freshmen were welcomed to the halls of B.C.R.H.S. in September l9H8. This class has had a very successful year, highlighted by tkafollowing events and activities. Margaret Cole and Robert Sharp were crowned king and queen at the Senior Carni- val. For this victory, the Freshmen were honored at a party in February, given by the seniors. The Freshmen are truly artistic as was proved by their having had more students enrolled in the art class than did the Sophomores, Juniors, or Seniors. These art students were represented in the National Poppy Poster Con- test. Carol Nothdurft played a piano solo at the League Music Festival in Brewster. The year 1914-8-l+9, with Mr. Penny-Sponsor, Billy Pope Duncan- President, Robert Sharp-Vice President, Arnold Smith--Secretary, M. Sue Sawyer-Treasurer, Jerry Hamm-Reporter, has come to a close and already twenty-five Freshies are making plans for tkeir Soph- omore year in B.C.R.H.S.
