BIRCH RUN!! Birch Run has gone through a lot of changes this year, from new administra- tion to the renewed feeling of pride in our schools. Mr. Jenniches re- placed Mr. Smock as the new superintend- ent. He has been a driving force behind making Birch Run Area Schools the best that they can be. Mr. Sinnott took over the position of North Elementary School Principal after Mrs. Hildner retired, and has been doing a great job ever since. The high school underwent some changes in the appearances de- partment. The gym received a new look, an excellent paint job, and the halls and lockers were also re- painted. The floors were kept spotless and in excellent condition The first SADD Chapter was started in the high school this year and many students joined. The fight against alcohol abuse goes on in Birch Run! The Manufacturers Marketplace added a lot of business to Birch Run when it was constructed this year. Presently, it consists of 18 stores. Altogether, it was a year of change for Birch Run. What could be next year's goal? Possibly, to build on the. good foundations laid this year. The Manufacturers' Marketplace as it is seen today. The middle school Joni Hobson and Su- ellen Vesperman parti- cipated in the People to People Ambassador program. High water this fall created a lot of problems on the Dixie Highway.
