On the Expo committee were: Mr. Hauck, Mrs. Vale, Mrs. Hrabec, Mrs. Lafferty, Mr. Mace, and Mr. Matzke. They did a great job in getting everything organized. Many classes exhibited projects. These were on display the day for the students to see as well as in the evening. The program that evening consisted of musical selections, forensics presentations, and a fashion show. The Drama Club also presented a portion of their play. The event turned out to be a great success. All who participated, whether by exhibiting a display or performing in the program, were presented with a certificate. 11 12 IN HONOR OF Mr. Jim Kavanaugh The staff of the 1980 Panther Tales would like to dedicate this book to Mr. Jim Kavanaugh. He will retire this year after spending 11 years in the Birch Run School System. During his years on the staff, Mr. Kavanaugh served as Assistant Administrator and Bookroom Supervisor. Additionally, he was Yearbook Advisor for the 1972 through the 1979 editions. You've been a good part of our high school years, Mr. Kavanaugh. We will all miss you and your bright smile.
