«• The 1977 Birch Run Homecoming The traditional Birch Run Homecoming festivities, held on November fourth, 1977, were a huge success as in years past. The excitement of the day reached its climax at the Varsity football game in which the Birch Run Panthers defeated the Brandon Blackhawks. At halftime of the game the winner of the float jug was announced. The class of 1979 received the award signifying the best overall float for their rendition of a Bell telephone. Halftime was also the scene of the crowning of the Homecoming Queen. This year Shelly Rhoades was chosen as Queen by the votes of the student body.
