THOSE WERE THE DAYS . . . FOREIGN EXCHANGE Kris Hobye was an exchange student here from Denmark. She lived with the Colosky family. A message from Kris: It is hard in a few words to express my feelings for this place and the people I've met here. However, I want to thank everybody for making this my most happy and experience-filled year. I have learned a lot about the U.S. and about people as a whole and found a curiousness among the kids here that is really uplifting. I wish you all good luck in the future and hope to see as many of you as possible again, either here or in Denmark. She lived with the Ransdell family. A message from Virginia: It's really hard to put into words all of the experiences that I've had here. This is especially true because I found so many things to love, and because I like each moment herewith my family and friends at school. I'm not trying to show a part of my country as a thing, but I'm being me, a simple girl from Brazil. I want to bring to you a little of the Brazilians as I want to carry with me a little of the Americans when I go back. Birch Run will be a part of my life and these five months will be in me forever. Thanks for everything. Students' cars wait impatiently in the early summer sun for their owners to take leave from school. Lower Right: Mr. John Reiber smiles for the yearbook photo- grapher.
