The Delta Conference championship slipped from the Panthers' grasp in a closely contested 6-12 loss to Carrollton on a cold wind-swept field. Narrow margins in hard-fought games with Flint Hamady and Bullock Creek prevented the Panthers from equaling their best former season record. Brian McNamara and Melvin Keith co-captained the 1965 team and Brian won most valuable player honors. Varsity awards were made to: SENIORS - M. Keith, N. Klein, B. McNamara, D. Schmandt, D. Smith, R.
