Dedication A. KEITH SIKKEMA In recognition of 34 years of service to the education of boys and girls, the Panther Tales staff dedicates this edition of our yearbook to A. K. Sikkema. He has inspired many students, including his two sons, to go on to higher educational accomplishment and has enriched the lives of all his students with his vast fund of knowledge. All of them have been amused by his witty tales and cleverly turned phrases. He has great interest in the arts and travels to Canada every summer to enjoy the Shake- spearean play festival. His retirement is sure to include travel and also considerable attention to his Christmas tree farm in northern Michigan. His many friends consider him to be the wittiest person they know. He is respected by his colleagues for his erudition and his knowledge of the basic philosophies of educational thought. Throughout the years he has been principal, superintendent, coach and teacher. Although he has been at Birch Run for only seven of his 34 years, we all feel that he is ours ex- clusively. We pay tribute to this wonderful man.
