Dedication Care for All (f I don ' t think stu- dents realize what a privilege it really is to be here at Biola, so states Biola ' s honorary house mother. For the past eighteen years, Mrs. Baumgardener — lovingly known to the campus as Mrs. B — faithfully served to enrich student lives in her own very unique way, wel- coming everyone to breakfast with a smile. She repeatedly said, Most people do not enjoy their work, but nothing gives me more joy than getting up at 4:00 every morning to see my kids. The joy she found was quite evident by the way she took time to know each student and to play a motherly part in their lives. Noth- ing is more amazing than the way she knew every stu- dent by name and number. This year was the last year for Mrs. B. But retirement will only mean that she will have more time to spend with her husband. They hope to spend most of their time getting to know each other better and traveling. Plans of a little golf were also high on her list. One of her many words of wisdom to students is to put into practice those principles that they have learned at Biola. To Mrs. B, applying those principles to their lives could be the most important thing that they ever do. We wish her best and we give her out thanks, as Mrs. B steps beyond the geographical bounds of Biola and explores ail the wonderful riches God still has planned for her. To show our appreciation, appreciation that we feel the rest of the student body shares, we of the Publica- tions Board dedicate the 1986 Biolan to Mrs. B.
