Morning Chapels Mihe Usrer Variety and creativity were evident throughout the year as the Chapel Board planned all Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday chapels. The primary goal of the Chapel Board was to get students to formulate their own answers rather than spoon feeding them. This was accomplished through Abortion, Human Sexuality, and other special em- phasis weeks. As issues were presented, students were challenged both to see the Biblical facts behind the issue and understand what It means to love their brother in Christ. This year ' s theme verse was 1 John 4:20 which states ■•If someone says, ' I love God, ' and hates his brother he ' is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen Armed with this verse, students confronted controvercial issues which provoke thought and discussion. Morning chapels provided the initial spark for further debate as individuals of differing opinions-sought answers to their questions In the end, a greater understanding of each topic was achieved by students and teachers alike.
