Quick solutions are found with the assist- ance of a capable, willing teacher. Accompanied by eldest son, Steve, the Sturz family enioys a time of sing- spiration.

7 E DEDICATE THE l96 BIOLA T0 HARRY STURZ Mr. Srurz was born in 1917 in San Diego, California. The ambiTion of his high school years was To raise caTTIe, buT wiTh The advenT of The Great Depression, Mr. STurz found iT necessary To ioin his faTher in The Tailoring business. During This period of his life, Mr. STurz ac- cepTed Jesus Chrisf as his Savior and Lord. Desiring To serve Chrisf, Mr. STurz began To seek The Lord's guidance. He aT This Time fell in love and was married. In 1940 Mr. STurz enrolled in WesTmonT College when iT was firsT opened. There he sang in The firsT quarTeT. Then affer Three years and Two summers, The STurzes wenT To Dallas in an aTTempT To accelerafe Mr. STurz' program. From Dallas Seminary The family moved To Winona Lake, Indiana, where Mr. STurz aTTended Grace Seminary and nearby ManchesTer College, graduaTing Cum Laude in 1946 wiTh boTh a B.A. and a B.D. degree. Affer graduaTion, Mr. STurz was a librarian and a Greek Teacher aT Grace for a year and a half. Then he and his wife and Three children moved To Yakima, WashingTon, where he pasfored a Brethren church for five years. The STurzes reTurned To California in 1952, and The following year Mr. STurz became a member of The Biola faculTy. AfTer receiving his MasTers degree from Grace in 1962, Mr, STurz reTurned To Winona To serve a period of residency for The docToral program. Finishing his Thesis This year will be a mark of hard work and of God's blessing on Mr. STurz' life, for Truly, wiTh his inTeresT in TexTual criTicism, Mr. STurz has grown in The grace and knowledge of ChrisT.
