SMITH STRATION CLUB The business administration club's operations for the year listed a formidable array of activities and projects. Early in the year an extensive membership campaign increased the club's size to over one hun- dred and fifty members. In November the Bizad Club sponsored the Spook Dance featuring the well known Bela Lugosi as guest. Later in the term club members, faculty members, and local businessmen met at the fall ban- quet held in the johnson City American Legion Club- house. Here the first issue of the club's eriodical publication, the Bizad Times , was introduced. Club activities continued in high gear during the spring term. The highlights of the club-sponsored Business Administration day were an address by Dr. Harvey A. Andruss, president of Bloomsburg State Teachers College and the business show directed by Stanley Bachman and held in west hall. Here four- teen business machine and records manufacturers and dealers displayed their products. Bizad Day ended with the club members and their guests dancing to the music of the Sophistocats at the johnson City Moose Hall. Also during the spring term a second banquet for club members was held. Throughout the year lectures and special tutoring sessions were among the more cultural activities of the club.

F RANCES BREIQS Family Advimrr . ,,... ..,. MRS. BROXVN AND ENGLISH DEPARTMENT The Clarendon Club is both a social and intel- lectual outlet for English majors. The greatest aim of the Club to date has been a TCC literary magazine called The Clarendon . The initial move toward this publication was in the appointment of Gerry Bloom to the post of editor. With the help of the English Department and interested students, this publication proved to be all that was hoped for it. Other activities for the past year included a tea for Professor Terhune after his address on his experi- ences in England while doing research on the l'Ru- baiyat of Omar Khayamu. The club also had an initiation party for new members at the home of Mrs, Brown and an informal and a dinner party at the home of Miss Atchley. Organized early in 1948 the Clarendon Club has since nearly doubled in size. It has fulfilled its pur- pose as the first honorary society at TCC. MRS. REPS, MR, KETCHAM Carrying out the French traditions of entertain- ment and culture, the French Club combined all its resources to provide a well rounded program for the year. Features of the group's activities during the past few months have included a French film, Car- net de Balu, a French page in the international news' paper, an informal conversation group, and a Fete de Fous . The French contribution to International Night included an Apache Dance, a can-can chorus, and a model French Village.
