F RANCES BREIQS Family Advimrr . ,,... ..,. MRS. BROXVN AND ENGLISH DEPARTMENT The Clarendon Club is both a social and intel- lectual outlet for English majors. The greatest aim of the Club to date has been a TCC literary magazine called The Clarendon . The initial move toward this publication was in the appointment of Gerry Bloom to the post of editor. With the help of the English Department and interested students, this publication proved to be all that was hoped for it. Other activities for the past year included a tea for Professor Terhune after his address on his experi- ences in England while doing research on the l'Ru- baiyat of Omar Khayamu. The club also had an initiation party for new members at the home of Mrs, Brown and an informal and a dinner party at the home of Miss Atchley. Organized early in 1948 the Clarendon Club has since nearly doubled in size. It has fulfilled its pur- pose as the first honorary society at TCC. FIRST ROW: Wfanda Swift, Marilyn Andrus, Frances Brees. SECOND ROW: Burt Easton, George Neumann, Geraldine Bloom, Raymeta Chaffee, Paul Berg, Ralph Forest, Arthur Neumann.
