Horz The International Relations Club started a round of activities early in the fall of 1948 with meetings on international affairs, speakers, and panel discus- sions. Delegates from the group attended the first in a series of conferences dealing with international rela- tions. Next on the conference list was the Model Security Council at Syracuse University in December. Another session of this model Security Council was held at the University of Rochester in April. Future plans of the club include the establishment of a speakers' bureau made up of students who will speak on subjects relevant to international relations, and the production of several radio programs on in- ternational affairs. The group also plans to sponsor an essay contest for area students.

Neumann appeared as Ellen's fiance and Fran Brees as Ann's sister. Marilyn Andrus played Martha, the Murray's maid. Richard Singel headed business and publicity crews for the three productions, he was assisted by Harry Brigham, Wiliam Kucharelc, Steve Gober, Shir- ley Mullen, Sue Hessel, Charles English, and jean Blesh. Properties were supplied by Ann McOmber, Mary Povlock, jean Albee, Dorothy Walker, Mary Ann Nagorny, and june Matteson. Phil Chamberlain and Dave Merrilees alternated as Electrician and Stage Manager for the plays and were assisted by john Madden and Sam Winterstein. Members of the stage crew were Glenn Godwin, Alan , ,.... . Stuart, George Butts, Bob Dickson, Sherman Ives, Darwin Lindsey, Charles English, Vince Chrzan, Ed- ward Beal, and john Zuidema. Others who aided in production were Mary Ellen Williams, Sally Grass, Tom Makres, Shirley Dawson, and the various social clubs which supplied ushers for the productions. Members of the Colonial Players enjoyed several post-production parties, a dinner, and the third an- nual club outing, at which was presented the Club's award to the two members of the club who con- tributed the most during the school year.

PERRY The Philosophy Club is an organization which, like other departmental clubs, is designed to aid stu- dents in background for their classroom work. At the first meeting of the fall term at the home of Mr. Orville Perry, club advisor, a discussion was held regarding the Faith Necessary for Religion . Nearly twenty members attended the meeting and took part in the discussion. A debate by Ralph Forest and Robert Stone con- cerning Government by Experts and the questions which followed were the substance of the second meeting, held in the upstairs lounge. A Union-Endicott High School teacher, Mrs. Hess, was guest speaker at the third meeting of the club. She gave a short lecture on the Aims and Purposes of High School Education .
