CHORUS The chorus and glee club are two of the extra curricular activities that were organized early last fall and have been meeting regularly throughout the year. This group has the active support of students, residents of the surrounding area, and faculty members. A large range of American and European com- positions was studied and performed by the group as well as all periods of music development which were represented in the compositions selected for the year. The Christmas convocation marked one of the top performances of the group. It presented a num- ber of the traditional Christmas favorites in one of the most successful all college assemblies of the school year. The program included the Carol of the Russian Children from White Russia arranged by H. B. Gaul, Chanson joyeuse de Noel by Gevaert and Cantique de Noel by Adams. These organizations also presented a brilliant spring program which included another very success- ful concert and a part in the all college review.

BAND One of the first musical groups to be organized at Triple Cities College was the band. Despite a shortage of space and practice time the band has continued to maintain operations and presented a short concert at the basketball games during the 1947-1948 basketball season. The band was missed at the games this year but it is hoped that they will be able to attend next year. The highlight of the band's activities for the fall term of 1948 was the part played by the band in the Christmas Convocation at Union-Endicott High School. Despite a shortage of band members during the fall term the band was reorganized and played an important part in the Spring Review. MADRIGAL SINGERS This small and select group, organized in the fall of 1946, was centered in the preparation and per- formance of compositions especially written for dou- ble quartets. All periods of musical development were represented in the group of compositions select- ed for this year. The Madrigal Singers have endeavored to grant all requests for concerts during the year but, because of a heavy schedule and changing personnel, have been unable to do so. The Madrigal Singers were an integral part of the Christmas Convocation and did much to aid in the success of the Spring Review. FIRST ROW: Barbara McGuire, john Capozzi, Marian Wesley, David Preshur, Mary Ann Schaarschmidt, Charles English, Jeanne Story. SECOND Row: Herbert Fry, William Gullborg, George Neumann, Harry Brigham, jask Rankin, Owen Kroc- ger, Lawrence Loveland, Donald Buffum.
