Family A6iUf.f0l'.f ......., The Golden Circle Club, in the second year of its life, is still proving to be a successful social club for the married students of TCC. To most of the stu- dents of the college it is probably still known by its first adopted name of Married Vets Club. Unlike most college social clubs the Golden Circle did not cease activities during the summer months. Those members of the club who remained in the vicinity of the Triple Cities had many very enjoyable get togethers. There has been a succession of parties, such as the annual Halloween party at Bartle Hall, card tournaments, a new Year's Eve party, covered dish suppers, square dancing, picnics during the spring months and just plain gab fests . The club has sponsored its own basketball and baseball teams who proved their merit extremely well in the intramural league. MARGON KEY C lafzzrmazz .,,............. ......... DLIWAYNE PETTIJOHN ARTHUR NIEUMANN FRAN The Maroon Key is an honorary society that operates in cooperation with the college athletic cle- partment. It was formed in january, 1948 by the Goliards. Under a permanent committee, member- ship in the Key rotates within the Goliard member- ship. The function of the Maroon Key is to entertain and assist all visiting athletic teams. The Key mem- bers meet visitors and direct them to college playing areas and completes arrangements for their local transportation and meals. They also assist visiting players with their equipment and uniforms. JOHN A. DYER GEORGE DONOVAN CALVIN SYMONS K CELONA The primary purpose of the Key is to establish friendships with other colleges and to promote good will and sportsmanship by being of service to ath- letic rivals. TCCs high standard of sportsmanship has been maintained and promoted by the efforts of the Maroon Key in its sixteen months of work. All students who have seen the Key in action cannot help but feel proud of the school's hospitality to visiting teams, extended through the labor of this group. FIRST Row: George Donovan, john A. PANDORAN The second active year of the Pandoran Society found the girls of the club participating in a whirl of dances and parties, sponsoring several service pro- jects including a cancer drive which netted over three hundred dollars, adding to their silver fund and aiding the annual Red Cross campaign. On the social agenda were the traditional Sadie Hawkins parties, the Carnival of Hearts, at which Ruth Tuthill and Clark Hungerford were elected king and queen, the spring picnic, and the final dinner dance.
